Hello my name is Kumar Sarkar.  I have lived in Canada since 1966 and became a proud Canadian citizen in the eighties.   However, that is not the whole story. I grew up in a big family, six brothers and two sisters in a small village.  My father was a jeweler and lived in the house of Nalini Kanta Mitra, a retired wealthy business man and a friend of my fathers.



This website contains the story of a long journey I have taken - from the magic childhood memories of India; through the struggles of family upheaval and tragedy; my early efforts to study hard and succeed to make a better life; my long youthful move to Halifax and on to Toronto; the company I started; the family I raised; and finally to where I am today - a proud Canadian working and living successfully in Toronto.
